I built...I just built a corner ledge out of block. I built it on top of my final slope and used type s motor with some sand. I am going back to use thinset now to set my top durock top and will thinset all edges. What I didn't do is thin set motor to floor or the front of the block. I figured that will get thinset when I tile. I filled in spaces with pcs of block and motor. It looks great but as a diyer told the wife to be careful as it may slide off the wall? Lol hope not.
